Barry Ferguson, the bloody legend, made history as Rangers snatched a last-gasp victory over those muppets, Celtic, in a thrilling Old Firm derby. The beautiful game was in full swing at Celtic Park on Sunday, and it was the Rangers who came out on top, thanks to Hamza Igamane's 88th-minute winner. What a f*cking goal that was, mate!
Rangers' dominant first half
The Rangers lads were on fire from the get-go, racing into a two-goal lead by half-time with goals from Nicolas Raskin and Mohamed Diomande. The Celtic players were left chasing shadows, and their fans were f*cking seething. You could see the rage in their eyes, mate.
Celtic's comeback falls short
But those Celtic mugs didn't give up without a fight. Daizen Maida and Reo Hatate both found the back of the net, levelling the score heading into the closing stages. But it wasn't enough, was it? Nah, because Igamane came up with a moment of magic, latching onto Jack Butland's long ball before finding the top corner. What a f*cking beauty!
Ferguson's historic victory
Butland's pass was his first career assist, and it helped give Ferguson a piece of Old Firm history. The Rangers caretaker boss becomes their first manager to win his first match at Celtic Park since Walter Smith in 1991. What a way to start your tenure, mate!
Celtic fans left fuming
Meanwhile, the celebrations of the Rangers players on the pitch caused a furious reaction from the home supporters. Vaclav Cerny, the cheeky b*stard, sprinted down the touchline towards the away supporters, spraying a drinks bottle into the crowd. The Celtic fans were livid, mate, absolutely f*cking livid!
Footage of the dugout showed a row of police officers keeping back the enraged Celtic fans. Several supporters were shown on Sky Sports' coverage arguing with the officers as they pointed towards the Rangers bench. But Cerny just sat there with a wry smile on his face, knowing he'd played a blinder.
Despite the defeat, Celtic remain on course for their 55th title and a 13th crown in 14 seasons. But for now, it's the Rangers who have the bragging rights, and Barry Ferguson who goes down in history. What a f*cking day for the beautiful game!
