Adrian Durham was left absolutely gobsmacked by Leeds United's utter annihilation of Stoke City, smashing them 6-0 in the Championship. What a bloody brilliant result for the Whites!
Leeds United's Dominant Performance
Daniel Farke's lads absolutely romped to victory over the Potters at Elland Road, putting them in a bloody dominant position at the top of the Championship. The beautiful game at its finest, mate!
Leeds Rise to the Challenge
The Whites, who were feeling the weight of expectation with Burnley vs Sheffield United facing off later in the day, certainly rose to the bloody challenge. They were 5-0 up at half-time with Joel Piroe finding the net on four occasions. What a lad!
Durham's Half-Time Reaction
Speaking on the radio at the break, Durham said: "It's 5-0 at half-time here at Elland Road to Leeds United. I can't remember a first-half destruction like I've just seen that Leeds have carried out on Stoke City. They've been brilliant, Leeds United."
Stoke's Dreadful Performance
He added: "Some swift, quick passing when they've won the ball back high up the pitch, but Stoke have been truly dreadful. The Stoke fans are singing, how bad must you be? It's only 5-0. I think they're all recognising just how truly terrible, truly awful Stoke City have been in that first half, but I want to take nothing away from Leeds. They have been absolutely brilliant."
Leeds' Sixth Goal and Harry Gray's Debut
Things then got even bloody worse in the second half with Willy Gnonto grabbing a sixth goal, winning a header at the back post despite his small stature. The occasion also saw a debut given to Harry Gray, the 16-year-old brother of Tottenham star Archie Gray.
Aaron Lennon's Praise for Harry Gray
Lennon said: "He is ridiculous. He's frightening. He's a No 10, No 9. I don't want to talk about him too much because I think everyone will want him, he's that good. He's probably the best I've seen in years."
Leeds' Promotion Prospects
Leeds' win put them on 94 points at the top of the Championship. The Whites will be promoted if Sheffield United fail to beat Burnley on Easter Monday's late kick-off. What a bloody fantastic season it's been for Leeds, mate!
