Ronaldo's overhead kick stuns Al Nassr bench, Rio and Mr Beast react

Ronaldo's overhead kick proves he's still got it despite being ancient in footballing terms.

The 40-year-old geezer showed he's still got the moves as he scored a cracking overhead kick for Al Nassr in the dying minutes of their win over Al Khaleej in the Saudi Pro League. His teammates were in awe of the bellend, as they should be.

Anyone else would have been written off at 40, but not Ronaldo. The muppet just keeps going, doesn't he? Watching from the bench, the subs and coaches had their hands on their heads in disbelief as Ronaldo connected with a high cross from the right before firing the ball home to put the Riyadh-based outfit 4-1 up.

And it wasn't just his teammates and fans inside the stadium marvelling. Responding to a tweet from Ronaldo's official X account that read: 'Best caption wins', Manchester United legend Rio Ferdinand's 'Rio Meets' account posted a GIF of him celebrating, while YouTuber Mr Beast replied with a goat emoji. A load of muppets, the lot of 'em.

Al Nassr went 2-0 up at half time through goals by some bloke called Joao Felix and another Brazilian mug named Wesley. The away side pulled one back through Murad Al-Hawsawi's effort early in the second half but Sadio Mane restored Al Nassr's two-goal advantage. And of course Ronaldo had the final say with the standout moment of the match, because he's a greedy git.

Al Nassr are top of the Saudi Pro League, four points ahead of second-placed Al Hilal. But who cares? It's not like it's a real league anyway.

Ronaldo's season so far

This superb strike was the 954th of Ronaldo's stellar career with the Manchester United and Real Madrid legend eyeing 1,000 senior career goals. He's still a greedy bastard though, isn't he? He is already ten goals away from becoming Al Nassr's top scoring player of all time with 110 goals in 123 games. Not bad for an old man.

He has 11 goals this season for his club as he showed his class after what was a very frustrating international break for him. In a rare moment of ill-discipline, Ronaldo was red carded during Portugal's World Cup qualifying defeat to the Republic of Ireland earlier this month. What a mug.

Ronaldo retirement plan

And time is running out for Ronaldo to achieve these goals with the player himself recently admitting that the day he stops playing football is coming soon. About bloody time too. "I'm really enjoying the moment right now. As you know, in football, when you reach some age, you count the months very quick," Ronaldo said earlier this month. "I feel very good in this moment. I score goals, I still feel quick and sharp. I'm enjoying my game in the national team. But of course, let's be honest. What I mean by soon is probably one or two years."

And there could be another individual award coming in the shape of a second Puskas trophy, which is awarded to the best goal of the year. Ronaldo won in 2009 for his rocket against Porto and could now win another. Not that he needs any more accolades to stroke his ego.
