The beautiful game has hit a new low, and I'm absolutely fuming about it. Manchester United's display against Everton was a bloody shambles, even worse than their humiliating defeat to Grimsby.
United's performance was a disgrace
The Red Devils' fourth Premier League loss of the season saw 10-man Everton beat them 1-0 at Old Trafford. It was an appalling performance from start to finish. The fact that Ruben Amorim stuck with three centre-backs even with an extra player is a dereliction of duty.
Everton have got nothing up front when they've got 11 men, let alone 10. So why the hell did Amorim not change his tactics? It's beyond me, mate.
Amorim's system is a joke
The coach has been in the hot seat at Old Trafford for a year now, but he still can't make his system work. Luke Shaw was dreadful, and Leny Yoro didn't seem to know what to do with the ball. This is a club built on wingers, getting to the byline, putting crosses in, getting in the area... but Amorim's system doesn't allow for that.
Even Ryan Giggs would struggle to get into this team because he doesn't suit the system. How ridiculous is that?
Mentality issues at Old Trafford
The mentality of this United team is a joke. They've got a run of games now between now and the end of December where there are points to be won, but these are the games where United can slip up. And that tells me there's still a big mentality issue at Old Trafford.
I'm sick and tired of seeing this team underperform week in, week out. Something needs to change, and fast, otherwise, we're going to be in for another season of disappointment. It's time for Amorim to step up and prove he's the right man for the job, otherwise, he should fuck off and let someone else have a go.
