Well, well, well, look what we have here, the bloody World Cup draw is done and dusted, and our beloved Three Lions have been chucked into Group L with Croatia, Panama, and Ghana. What a load of bollocks!
England's group stage opponents
First up, we've got those pesky Croats again. They knocked us out in the semis back in 2018, but we've had the better of them since, including a win at Wembley during Euro 2020. Time for some revenge, lads!
Then there's Ghana, a team we've never faced in a competitive match before. A friendly back in 2011 ended in a draw, but this time it's for real, and we'll show them what the beautiful game is all about.
Lastly, we've got Panama, who got their arses handed to them by Southgate's boys in 2018, conceding six bloody goals! Let's hope for more of the same, eh?
The draw in Washington DC
The glitzy draw took place in Washington DC, and our gaffer, Thomas Tuchel, was there to see it all unfold. The groups are set, and now it's time for the real work to begin.
If we top the group, we could face Mexico in the last 16, followed by a potential quarter-final clash with those cheeky Brazilians. Bring it on, I say!
With the World Cup expanded to 48 teams, there are now 12 groups of four. More footy, more drama, more banter – just what we all need!
England's chances
After qualifying with a perfect record, Tuchel's men will be among the favourites to lift the trophy in the USA, Canada, and Mexico. But let's not get ahead of ourselves – there's a long way to go, and anything can happen in the beautiful game.
So, buckle up, lads, and get ready for a wild ride. The World Cup is coming, and it's time for England to show the world what we're made of. Come on, you Three Lions!
