Joao Felix has been given a right kick in the teeth by Chelsea, the latest sign that he's got no future at the club. The Portuguese attacker was left out of the Blues' squad for the Club World Cup, along with a few other muppets.
Chelsea stripping Felix of his squad number
To make matters worse, Chelsea have really taken the piss by stripping Felix of his squad number. The No.14 shirt, which he was given when he signed for a whopping £42.6million, has now been handed to some young defensive midfielder called Dario Essugo. What a joke!
Felix's career needs a reboot
Felix is in desperate need of a career reboot after his disastrous spell at Chelsea. He managed a paltry seven goals from 20 appearances, with just three Premier League starts. No wonder he was shipped off to AC Milan in January, but even that couldn't reignite his attacking flair.
Despite a bright start at the San Siro, including a goal on debut against Roma in the Coppa Italia, Felix only managed two more goals and one assist in the next 20 matches. What a flop!
A serious crossroads for Felix
Now, the Portuguese star finds himself at a serious crossroads, without even a squad number to his name. Chelsea have made it crystal clear that he has no future at the club, and it remains to be seen where he'll end up next.
One thing's for sure, though - Felix needs to pull his finger out and start delivering on the pitch, or he'll be remembered as one of the biggest disappointments in recent football history. What a waste of talent!
