Ruud van Nistelrooy has been given the boot by Leicester City after taking on a tough challenge to takeover during a shambolic season but couldn't find the results to keep them up.
With a win-rate of just 18.52% it was always going to be tough to keep the job after relegation and now Leicester are looking at replacing him with Sean Dyche, according to the betting.
Dyche the favourite for Leicester job
Sean Dyche is the frontrunner to take over at Leicester City after Van Nistelrooy's departure. The former Burnley boss has experience in the Championship and could be a good fit for the Foxes as they look to bounce back to the Premier League.
Only Danny Rohl and former Manchester United star Michael Carrick are in the single digit prices for a move to the King Power Stadium.
Carrick left Middlesbrough earlier this month after they failed to gain the expected traction for promotion for the second successive season, but has the experience in the Championship at the very least.
Dyche returning to management with Championship club Leicester could be a huge move for the 53-year-old.
Having only been with three clubs previously; Watford, Burnley and Everton.
He had multiple ups and downs with Burnley in his near decade at the club.
In his first season with the club he somehow got them promoted after being tipped to be relegated having had just one transfer and lost their top scorer.
And they stayed mostly in the Premier League since, despite two relegations they bounced back up again with Dyche in charge.
With promotions gained from relegation twice, it makes a lot of sense for Leicester to be looking for proven form in this situation.
But the football betting market is still wide open with more candidates likely to emerge as talks progress with the current favourites.
