Barca prez forced to chat sh*t as Real Madrid turncoat causes uproar in VIP box

Figo's ultimate betrayal still ain't forgotten by Barcelona after 25 bloody years!

That bellend Figo, who pissed off Barca for their arch rivals Real Madrid in 2000, had the nerve to show his mug at his old club again, and even worse, he was allowed into the director's box. What a load of bollocks!

Obviously, the decision to let this muppet back into the club for the headline clash against Paris Saint Germain caused a right kick-off, forcing club president Joan Laporta to address the issue in a pre-match presser.

"He's a member of UEFA and that's absolutely respectable," Laporta said, trying to calm the lads down. "He was a Barca player; we remember the afternoons and nights of glory he gave us. He made a decision, but life has moved on, and he's a member of UEFA, so he'll be received with all due respect."

The real reason Barcelona fans hate Luis Figo

Figo didn't just break the world record transfer fee in July 2000 at €62million, he also broke the hearts of Barcelona fans when he left for Madrid. He won the Ballon d'Or and became arguably the best player in the world, but that didn't stop him from legging it to their rivals.

When he returned to Camp Nou, he was met with floods of 'traitor' and 'Judas' banners and the shock image of a pig's head thrown at him during a corner. Can't say he didn't deserve it!

In charge at that time was Joan Gaspart, who had no choice but to let Figo leave as Madrid had triggered his contractual release clause to keep their Galactico era under Florentino Perez going. Gaspart was also in the same directors box as Figo, and unsurprisingly had to comment pre-match.

"I'm not the one to ban anyone from entering the stadium; he's a UEFA ambassador," he said. "I can assure you that I won't greet him. I won't make any effort, nor do I have any need to; the box is big enough to lead separate lives."

He added: "I've met Figo on occasion in Switzerland. I'm not one to forgive anything; as a Barca fan, I don't forget and never will. He's not a pleasant person."

Figo chose one of the best games in Europe, Barcelona against PSG, with some of the best young talent in world football, and some of the best Portuguese players in Nuno Mendes, Vitinha and Joao Neves. The game was also at the former Olympic stadium in Montjuic, perhaps taking some of the heat out of his return while the club await their Camp Nou return.

However, Figo isn't one to shy away from the anger, as shown by his last Barcelona appearance last season for the Women's Champions League final. Barca lost 1-0 to Arsenal in Lisbon, and reports claimed that the Portuguese grabbed his crotch in response to fans whistling him. What a mug!
