That absolute bellend was forced off during the second half against Senegal on Saturday. Gabriel, who fancies himself as some sort of hardman, lasted just 64 minutes before he limped off like a wounded animal.
The beautiful game turns ugly
After rolling around on the floor like he'd been shot, Gabriel received treatment from the Brazil medical staff. Then he trudged off the pitch, holding his face like he was about to burst into tears. Embarrassing.
Arsenal's defensive headache
Now, that tosser Mikel Arteta faces a nervous wait over Gabriel's fitness. The 27-year-old has played every minute in the Premier League for the Gunners this season, conceding just five goals and keeping 13 clean sheets in 17 matches across all competitions. Big deal.
The north London derby looms
Arsenal face Tottenham at home in the north London derby in their next match on November 23. The Gunners go into the match four points clear at the top of the Premier League, but without their precious Gabriel, they might as well just hand the three points to Spurs now.
Injury crisis at the Emirates?
To make matters worse, Arteta is also sweating on the fitness of fellow defender Riccardo Calafiori. The Italian has returned to the club early from international duty amid injury fears. It comes with Martin Odegaard and Gabriel Jesus already ruled out of the clash with Spurs. The latter is back in training following a torn ACL, but remains weeks away from returning to competitive action.
