What a load of bollocks! Lionel Messi's sister, Maria Sol, has had to call off her wedding 'cause she's been in a proper nasty car crash. The poor cow's suffered spinal fractures, burns, and all sorts of other injuries in the smash that happened in Miami.
This mug was getting ready to tie the knot with some bloke from Inter Miami's coaching staff in the new year. But now the whole thing's been put on hold 'cause she's all banged up from the crash.
Maria Sol's crash
Apparently, Maria Sol was driving along, minding her own business, when she passed out at the wheel and lost control of her motor. She hit a wall and did herself some serious damage.
She's been recovering back home in Rosario, Argentina, after the crash in the States. Some journalist called Angel de Brito has been blabbing about what happened, saying he got the info from her mum.
What happened to Maria Sol?
De Brito reckons Maria Sol is going to be alright, but she's not out of the woods yet. She's got burns, which are a right pain in the arse to treat, and her vertebrae are all messed up. She's already started rehab in Rosario, but it sounds like it's going to be a long road to recovery.
Her mum, Celia Cuccittini, told De Brito that Maria Sol's got two fractured vertebrae, a fractured heel, and a busted wrist. Sounds like a right state, doesn't she? The wedding's been pushed back, which is hardly surprising given the state she's in.
Who is Maria Sol Messi?
Maria Sol is a businesswoman and fashion designer who's worked on loads of her brother's projects. She keeps herself to herself and only has one post on her Instagram, despite having over 400,000 followers. Madness.
She's engaged to some bloke called Julian Arellano, who works with Inter Miami's under-19 team. They've known each other since they were kids, growing up in the same part of Argentina. The wedding was supposed to be on January 3rd in Rosario, but that's all gone tits up now because of the crash.
