Jhon Duran has been setting the Premier League alight this season with his performances for Aston Villa, but it looks like the Colombian striker could be on his way out of the club in the January transfer window.

Duran's future at Villa Park uncertain

The 21-year-old has been in scintillating form this season, scoring seven goals in just 18 appearances in the Premier League, as well as three goals in six appearances in the Champions League. However, despite his impressive performances, Villa rejected a £40million offer for the striker on Tuesday from West Ham, who are currently leading the betting to sign Duran in this transfer window.

It's no surprise that Duran's future at Villa Park has been the subject of speculation for a while, with a number of clubs eyeing up a potential move for the striker. Manchester United are close behind in the odds as they too look for a few changes in their squad, while Arsenal are also in the mix as they face a striker shortage due to injury.

Duran eyeing up more regular playing time

One of the main reasons why Duran could be looking for a move away from Villa Park is his desire for more regular playing time. The majority of his goals in the Premier League this season have come when he's come on as a substitute, and he could be looking for a more regular position in a starting XI.

This would be ideal for the likes of Arsenal, who are currently facing a striker shortage due to injury. The Gunners are currently 8/1 to sign Duran in the January transfer window, and with their need for a proven goalscorer, they could be a good fit for the Colombian.

West Ham leading the betting to sign Duran

Despite Arsenal's interest, it's West Ham who are currently leading the betting to sign Duran in the January transfer window. The Hammers are currently 4/1 to sign the striker, with Manchester United close behind at 5/1.

However, with the betting still wide open, it remains to be seen where Duran will end up come the end of the January transfer window. One thing is for sure though, whoever does manage to sign the Colombian will be getting a proven goalscorer who has the potential to set the Premier League alight.
