Hendo in ref row, Ajax mug booked in bench brawl

That bellend Jordan Henderson just can't keep his nose out of trouble, can he? The scrawny git decided to inject himself into a mid-match scuffle during Ajax's Europa League clash against Union Saint-Gilloise. What a mug.

Footy turns ugly

Ajax only needed a draw to progress to the last 16 after their previous 2-0 win. But things took a turn for the worse when Kevin Mac Allister put the Belgian side ahead. And then Davy Klaassen got sent off for handball on the goal line. What a muppet.

Promise Akinpelu scored the penalty, leveling the tie. And then tensions boiled over in the second half after Akinpelu fouled Jorthy Mokio. Sofiane Boufal picked up the ball, only for Anton Gaaei to try and snatch it from his hands. Gaaei then pushed his head into Boufal's chest. What is this, a wrestling match?

Henderson can't keep his mouth shut

Players from both sides rushed over to join the scuffle. Henderson, who was on the bench at the time, moved towards Boufal, but was shoved back by a USG member. Afterwards, a clip showed Henderson gesturing as if to say his opponents talked too much. Bit rich coming from him, innit?

Referee Chris Kavanagh, a Premier League official, booked Gaaei, Boufal, and former Portsmouth defender Christian Burgess. Henderson also got booked, his seventh yellow of the season. Despite the booking, Ajax boss Francesco Farioli brought him on at the start of extra time. Guess he wanted to add a bit more drama to the mix.

Luck of the draw

Luckily for Ajax, Kenneth Taylor scored a penalty in the 93rd minute, putting them 3-2 up on aggregate. And despite USG's best efforts, they couldn't find another goal against 10-man Ajax. So, the Dutch giants celebrated their spot in the round of 16. But let's be real, the real entertainment was the scuffle. Maybe Henderson should stick to playing footy instead of trying to start fights, eh?
