Blues' Cheeky Dig at Forest Owner
So the Blues managed a 1-0 win over their Midlands rivals at St. Andrews. Jay Stansfield bagged the only goal in the Trevor Francis Memorial Match. But here's the kicker – Birmingham's social media mugs couldn't resist taking the piss out of Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis after the game.
The post, which has since been deleted by some spineless git, said: "Victory over Mr. Marinakis' Nottingham Forest." They were referencing that cringey interview with Morgan Gibbs-White and Marinakis after he signed his new contract at the City Ground.
Gibbs-White's New Deal
Gibbs-White, the daft sod, recently put pen to paper on a new deal that'll keep him at Forest until 2028. In the interview after signing, he kept going on about "Mr. Marinakis" and how chuffed he was with the new contract.
But get this – Marinakis took a swipe at Spurs, saying: "At the end of the day, we always win." Well, mate, you didn't bloody win against Birmingham, did ya?
Forest's Shambolic Pre-Season
That defeat to the Blues was Forest's second loss in pre-season. They've only managed to score one goal so far, in a 3-1 defeat to Fulham. Other than that, they've had three boring 0-0 draws against Chesterfield, Monaco, and Estoril Praia.
Pathetic, innit? For all their money and flashy signings, Forest can't even win a friendly. And Birmingham think they're the bollocks for beating them? Give me a break!
But that's the beautiful game for ya – full of banter, bellends, and taking liberties. And as much as it pains me to say it, fair play to Birmingham for giving Marinakis and his overhyped squad a reality check. Maybe they'll learn to keep their gobs shut until they actually win something that matters.
