Hojlund's struggles at Man United
Hojlund joined Man United in August 2023 for a whopping £72 million, and he's been an absolute flop since then. In 80 appearances for the club, he's only managed to score 23 goals and assist three times. Pathetic!
And get this, only two of his seven goals this season have been in the Premier League. What a waste of money!
Missed opportunity against Arsenal
Hojlund came on in the 76th minute against Arsenal and could've been the hero, but he choked under pressure. He received a loose ball on the edge of the box but took too long to shoot, allowing Declan Rice to make a last-ditch tackle. Embarrassing!
Rooney's advice for Hojlund
Even Wayne Rooney, Man United's record goalscorer, had some words of wisdom for Hojlund. He said, "A striker for Manchester United, when you're not scoring goals, there's a lot of pressure, a lot of people talking about you. Can you do it for Manchester United? I think the best thing to do is simplify it and obviously making the runs into penalty boxes is as easy as it comes – you have to make them runs."
Rooney also added, "I think he just needs that goal and once he gets it, they'll all start coming." Let's hope so, for Hojlund's sake!
In conclusion, Hojlund needs to step up his game if he wants to prove himself worthy of playing for Manchester United. Until then, he'll just be another overpriced flop in the beautiful game.
