Bournemouth owner Bill Foley has come out and said they're trying to convince their manager Andoni Iraola to stay at the club.
Tottenham are reportedly interested in Iraola if they decide to sack their current boss Ange Postecoglou, and Real Madrid are also said to be keeping tabs on him.
Iraola's contract situation
Iraola's current deal runs out at the end of next season, and Foley has confirmed that the club's sporting director Tiago Pinto has been in talks with Iraola's agent about extending his stay on the south coast.
Foley hopes to sit down with Iraola himself in late April or Easter to discuss the manager's goals and aspirations, and is confident that Bournemouth can match them.
Bournemouth's future plans
Foley believes that Bournemouth is one of the best places to be in the UK in terms of location, and is keen to keep hold of Iraola as well as several of the club's star players who are attracting interest from elsewhere.
He also revealed that the club are working on plans to expand their stadium to around 24,000 seats, with improved hospitality and facilities, in order to create an environment that will attract and retain top talent.
Foley is confident that Bournemouth can compete with anyone in terms of salaries, and sees keeping Iraola at the club as a priority.
Champions League ambitions
Bournemouth are currently just three points off the top five in the Premier League, and Foley is bullish about their chances of qualifying for the Champions League in the near future.
While he admits that it may not happen this season, he is confident that the club will be in the top five at some point in the future, and believes that playing in Europe would be a huge achievement for Bournemouth and their fans.
