Robbie Savage, that bellend, has somehow managed to drag Macclesfield FC up to the sixth tier of English footy. Can you believe it?!
Macclesfield's league win
Those muppets at Macclesfield bagged a 2-1 win over Bamber Bridge on Saturday, clinching the Northern Premier League Premier Division championship. Big bloody deal.
Promotion to the National League North
Now, thanks to that win, Savage's lads have been promoted to the National League North for next season. They're just two divisions away from the English Football League. But let's be real, they'll probably choke before they get there.
Savage's debut campaign
What's even more shocking is that this is Savage's debut campaign in charge of the club and as a full-time manager. The bloke's got no experience! I bet he just got lucky.
Savage's record this season
Saturday's win was Macclesfield's 29th out of the 36 games they've played this season, with 88 goals scored and just 26 conceded. Alright, so maybe the team's not complete rubbish, but I still reckon they'll bottling it soon enough.
Savage's comments at the start of the season
At the start of the season, Savage claimed he could sack himself if Macclesfield failed to go up. Well, now that promotion has been secured, he can breathe easy. But I wouldn't be surprised if he still manages to muck it up somehow.
Macclesfield will next be in action on March 29 away to Blyth Spartans before they return home on April 5 against Workington. I'll be watching, ready to give 'em an earful if they start taking liberties on the pitch. Nobody disrespects the beautiful game on my watch!
