Tuchel slams Foden and Rashford's displays in England's win over Albania
Thomas Tuchel criticizes Phil Foden and Marcus Rashford's performances in England's 2-0 victory against Albania
The Three Lions got off to a winning start under Tuchel thanks to goals from Myles Lewis-Skelly and Harry Kane at Wembley Stadium. But Foden and Rashford failed to impress in their 74 minutes on the pitch.
Foden had just two touches in Albania's penalty area and didn't create any chances for his teammates. Rashford had six touches in the box, but only managed a 60% dribble completion rate and 35 successful passes.
After the match, Tuchel said: "We hope for more impact from these positions. I hope for more dribbling, fewer passes and more aggressive runs towards the box. This was missing in general."
Manchester United legend Roy Keane also criticized Foden, saying he lacked confidence and warned he could lose his place in the England team. Keane said Foden and Rashford didn't make an impression and should be disappointed with their performances.
England's next match is against Latvia on Monday night, with Foden and Rashford hoping for another chance to prove themselves.
