Troy Deeney wants to get back into management? What a load of bollocks!
Deeney's Delusions of Grandeur
The former Watford striker has been out of the dugout since leaving Forest Green in January last year, and now he's "desperate" to make a return. Well, ain't that just grand?
A Failed Stint at Forest Green
Deeney spent a month in charge of the then League Two side after initially joining in a player-coaching role. But what did he achieve? Bugger all! He drew three and lost three of his six matches. Pathetic.
Desperate for Another Crack
Despite his abysmal record, Deeney remains "desperate" to have another crack at management. He's even discussing the number of sackings this season, as if he's got a chance in hell of making a comeback.
The "Weird Buzz" of Management
Deeney claims there's a "weird buzz" with management, and that he's "desperate to get back in as well." He reckons he's trying to be better and have that winning competitive edge again. What a load of codswallop!
Sackings Galore
So far this season, six Premier League clubs have sacked their manager, and there have already been 30 sackings across the Championship, League One and League Two. Deeney probably thinks he can waltz right in and take over. The audacity!
No Preference for a Return
Having previously coached in the fourth tier, Deeney has no preference when it comes to the level he would make his return. "Anywhere that would take me at this moment in time," he says. Well, good luck with that, mate!
Learning to "Manage Up"
Deeney's been told he doesn't play well with others, so he's learning to "curve that side" and understand the business side of football better. But he thinks the football stuff is "relatively easy." What an arrogant prat!
A Year Away from the Pitch
Deeney claims this year away from being on the pitch has been "perfect" for him. He's been without a club since leaving his Forest Green role 14 months ago, following spells at Walsall, Watford and Birmingham. Some "perfect" year that turned out to be!
A Legacy of Failure
Deeney spent the majority of his playing career with the Hornets between 2010 and 2021, where he won two promotions to the Premier League, scoring 47 goals in 165 top-flight appearances. But what has he done lately? Absolutely sod all!
In conclusion, Troy Deeney's delusions of grandeur are a joke. He's got no business trying to get back into management, and he's just making a fool of himself. The beautiful game deserves better than this bellend!
