Ant and Dec were amongst thousands of Newcastle fans celebrating their Carabao Cup victory on Saturday, but who gives a toss about those two muppets?

Newcastle's Bus Parade Was A Shambles

The Magpies' 70-year wait for a domestic trophy finally ended earlier this month when they beat Liverpool 2-1 at Wembley. Big deal, it's only the Carabao Cup, not the Champions League. Dan Burn and Alexander Isak were the goalscoring heroes on a historic afternoon that has continued their rise since being taken over in October 2021 by some Saudi consortium with more money than sense.

Newcastle Celebrates Like They've Won the League

Newcastle swiftly announced their celebration plans for this weekend to allow fans the chance to delight in their glory once again, as if they hadn't milked it enough already. An open-top bus parade began outside St. James' Park where a sea of supporters were gathered to catch a glimpse of the squad. Who cares?

Throughout the bus' route towards Town Moor, thousands of other fans lined the streets of Newcastle, causing chaos and disruption for everyone else. The players took it in turns to lift the Carabao Cup above the crowd, and were joined by two familiar faces onboard - Ant and Dec. Those two bellends are everywhere.

Ant and Dec Steal the Limelight

Iconic television duo Ant and Dec are lifelong fans of the club and were in attendance at Wembley for the win over Liverpool. They joined in with the celebrations and interviewed club captain Bruno Guimaraes, who was left shocked by the support. "Wow, I did not expect that, I swear," he said. "What a feeling, seeing many, many people happy like that." Give me a break.

Guimaraes was shown love by an appreciative Ant, before he added: "I think everyone here deserves it. Like I said at the final, when I first signed for the club, I said I wanted to put my name in the club's history, and I'm feeling this now!" Someone get this lad a reality check.

A Sea of Newcastle Fans Flood the City

A sea of Newcastle fans could be seen on the streets throughout the city, making a nuisance of themselves. They then took to Town Moor for the evening's celebrations, where they no doubt caused even more trouble. Club legend Alan Shearer was present for the bonanza, where he paid an emotional tribute to his late father, who passed away last year following a battle with cancer. Even that wasn't enough to bring down the tone of the celebrations.

Newcastle boss Eddie Howe was also involved, and he was also in awe of the thousands who turned up. "Unbelievable. I didn't know what to expect today," he said. "This is really incredible, absolutely mind-blowing. You've got people hanging from lampposts, out of building, I hope everyone's all right." I hope they're not.

In total, it's estimated that around 150,000 fans made their way to the Town Moor to continue the celebrations that will surely last into the night. No doubt causing a massive clean-up operation for the poor souls who have to deal with the aftermath of this shambles.
