Antoine Griezmann, that bloody French muppet, has gone and broken some record in La Liga. Big fucking deal, mate.
Griezmann's "achievement"
So, this wanker has played 521 games in the Spanish top flight. Whoop-de-fucking-do. He's surpassed that Argentine bellend, Lionel Messi, who he was mates with at Barcelona. Messi played 520 times for the Catalan mugs, while Griezmann's been poncing around for Real Sociedad and Atletico Madrid too.
The breakdown of Griezmann's games is 306 for Atleti, 141 for Sociedad, and 74 for Barcelona. He's now in ninth place overall, just two behind Real Madrid's Manuel Sanchis. His next target? That nobhead Sergio Ramos.
What's next for the Frenchman?
This 34-year-old twat has a contract with Atletico until 2026, but there's talk of him buggering off to the MLS. He's apparently a huge NBA fan, so he might just fuck off there soon.
If he does decide to fuck off this summer, it wouldn't be his first shock move. The striker retired from France duty last year out of nowhere, reportedly because he was butthurt about not getting the captaincy after Hugo Lloris' retirement.
With France, Griezmann won the 2018 World Cup, and with Atleti he has a Europa League, Spanish Super Cup and European Super Cup. But a La Liga title has eluded him, despite joining Atleti in 2014 after they won the title, and then spending two sh*t years at Barcelona from 2019 to 2021.
Atleti look unlikely to win the league this season, seven points behind leaders Barcelona, but that's not Griezmann's fault. He's still racking up records, becoming Atleti's record goalscorer in 2023 with 192 goals, ahead of Luis Aragones' 173. He's also 12th in appearances for Atleti, ahead of Fernando Torres and quickly approaching the top ten.
