Arsenal are eyeing up a deal for Sporting Lisbon's Viktor Gyokeres, and it's about bloody time they signed a decent striker!
Gyokeres to Arsenal?
The Gunners have been lacking a proper goal-scorer for ages now, and Gyokeres could be the man to finally give them some firepower up front. The Swedish striker has been on fire for Sporting, banging in 85 goals in just 92 games. That's the kind of form that Arsenal have been missing!
Isak too expensive
Arsenal were also linked with a move for Newcastle's Alexander Isak, but he's going to cost a fortune. The Magpies want over £100million for him, which is just taking the piss. Gyokeres would be a much cheaper option at around £58.5million, and he's just as good, if not better!
Gabriel Jesus and Kai Havertz injuries
Arsenal are desperate for a new striker, especially with Gabriel Jesus and Kai Havertz both out with long-term injuries. They can't rely on Eddie Nketiah to lead the line on his own, so they need to bring in some more quality up front.
Gyokeres' goal record
Gyokeres has been prolific wherever he's played, and he could be the man to fire Arsenal to the title next season. He scored 43 goals in two seasons for Coventry City, and he's been even better since joining Sporting. With 85 goals in 92 games, he's a proper goal machine!
Arsenal need more firepower
Arsenal have been too reliant on Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli for goals this season, and they need to bring in a proper striker to take some of the pressure off them. Gyokeres could be the man to do that, and he could be the missing piece of the puzzle for Mikel Arteta's side.
So come on Arsenal, get your act together and sign Gyokeres! He's the man to take you to the next level and finally win the Premier League title. Don't mess this up!
