Frank Lampard's got Coventry soaring, and the fans are loving it, mate!
Coventry's on the up
Coventry's footy's going from strength to strength under Lampard. They've just smashed West Brom 2-0, and now they're sitting pretty with a three-point cushion over seventh-place Middlesbrough. Only three games left, lads!
Record-breaking support
31,167 fans packed into the CBS Arena to watch the Sky Blues – that's a new bloody record! The team's been at the stadium since 2005, and they're filling it to the rafters. If they keep this up, Coventry could see their highest finish in the English Football League since they moved in.
Lampard's got 'em firing on all cylinders
Lampard's got the lads playing some beautiful footy, and he's chuffed with what he's seeing on the pitch. "We were brilliant in terms of our intensity, our organisation, all the things we spoke about," he said after the game. "They're a difficult team, West Brom, very difficult. We were really strong in every department, but we were very, very good today and I think we got what we deserved."
Playoffs are in sight
Coventry's looking more than ready to go again under Lampard's leadership. They came close to the Premier League in 2022/23, and now they're in a prime position to give it another go. But Lampard knows there's still work to be done. "There's a lot of work to do because the teams around us won, some of them today, it's going to go to possibly to the last game," he said. "So we can only control ourselves, control Plymouth, that's what's in front of us, recover well. It's going to be a really tough game."
But if you'd have offered this to him a while ago, he'd be taking it all day. So they just have to keep going, mate!
