Mate, what a load of bollocks! That Mudryk geezer's been stripped of his No.10 shirt at Chelsea, and rightly so if you ask me. The bloke's been provisionally suspended banned from playing the beautiful game after failing a bloody drugs test in 2024. What a muppet!
Mudryk's future at Chelsea looks bleak
The 24-year-old Ukrainian winger has denied any wrongdoing, but he hasn't played a competitive match since November as he awaits the results of his 'B' sample. If found guilty, he faces a lengthy ban, and it looks like Chelsea aren't planning on having him around much longer.
The Blues announced that Cole Palmer would be taking Mudryk's No.10 shirt for the 2025/26 season, without even mentioning Mudryk in their press release. Ouch, that's gotta hurt!
Premier League giants sign striker Liam Delap
Chelsea qualified for the 2025/26 Champions League by finishing fourth, and they've already made their intentions clear by signing striker Liam Delap from Ipswich for a whopping £30million. The 22-year-old Englishman has taken the vacant No.9 shirt, which has a bit of a cursed reputation after a string of failed striker signings in the past.
Delap said, "I understand the stature of this club and can see the trajectory it is on with these players and the head coach. It's going to be an incredible place for me to develop, and I hope to achieve amazing things here and help the club win more trophies."
Let's hope he doesn't end up like the rest of the muppets who've worn that cursed No.9 shirt, eh? Only time will tell, but one thing's for sure – Chelsea ain't messing around this season!
