Victor Osimhen has given Al Hilal the middle finger by rejecting their third and final offer, leaving the Saudi club in the lurch. The Nigerian striker was offered a mind-boggling £34million yearly salary, which works out at £650,000-per-week, plus bonuses, but he's told them to shove it.
Osimhen snubs Al Hilal's mega money move
Al Hilal had everything lined up for Osimhen, booking his travel and preparing his medical, but the Napoli ace has knocked them back. This has come as a shock to many Premier League clubs, who thought he was a cert for a Saudi switch. But instead, it's opened the door for Juventus, Galatasaray and PSG to swoop in.
Chelsea and Manchester United could be in the mix
Chelsea and Manchester United might fancy a pop at signing Osimhen, but only if he fits their wage structure. United could struggle, though, as they won't be dining at the Champions League table next season. With Osimhen giving Al Hilal the brush-off, they might turn their attention to Darwin Nunez or Richarlison instead.
Al Hilal mulling over marquee signings
Al Hilal are now debating whether to make a last-gasp bid for a big-name player before the Club World Cup kicks off on June 15. They could target Manchester City's Bernardo Silva or Aston Villa's Youri Tielemans. Silva has just one year left on his City contract, while Tielemans enjoyed a cracking campaign for Villa last season.
Al Hilal's Club World Cup adventure starts with a cracker against Real Madrid on June 18. But they'll have to do it without Osimhen, who's told them to do one.
