Tottenham knocked Manchester United out of the Europa League, and now they might do the same in the transfer market for Bryan Mbeumo.
Bryan Mbeumo transfer battle
Manchester United are keen on signing the Brentford forward, but those muppets at Spurs might try to swoop in and nab him. The Red Devils are willing to pay the greedy bastard £250,000-a-week, but that might not be enough.
Champions League football
Arsenal legend Perry Groves reckons Mbeumo should snub United and join Spurs instead, because they'll be playing in the Champions League next season. United won't be playing in Europe at all, the useless twats.
Groves said: "Football-wise, he should go to Spurs because of Champions League football and you want to play at the highest level. But financially, that's why Spurs are going to struggle to go at that [potential transfer]. Because all the top teams pay their top players £200,000-a-week plus. Spurs are never going to do that."
Thomas Frank factor
If Mbeumo does join Spurs, he could be reunited with his Brentford boss Thomas Frank, who has verbally agreed to take charge of the north London club. That might sway his decision, the disloyal git.
Mbeumo had a great season for Brentford, with only Mohamed Salah, Alexander Isak and Erling Haaland scoring more Premier League goals. But he's got just one year left on his contract, so Brentford might cash in this summer.
Transfer fee
United have already had a £45million bid plus £10m in add-ons rejected by Brentford, who want £60m for the greedy bastard. That would break their club-record sale of Ivan Toney to Al Ahli last year.
So it's a battle between Manchester United and Tottenham for Mbeumo's signature. Whoever pays him the most money will probably win, because that's all footballers care about these days, the mercenary bellends.
