Crystal Palace have been well and truly shafted by those muppets at UEFA. Eagles fans must be fumin' right now, I know I bloody am!
The south London club did bits last season, didn't they? Won the FA Cup for the first time in their history, qualified for the Europa League. Blissful scenes. But nah, UEFA had to go and ruin it with their dodgy rules and power trips.
Apparently, Palace co-owner John Textor also co-owns Lyon. Multi-club ownership or some bollocks. I don't give a toss. Let the lads play in the Europa!
Textor's selling his shares anyway, so what's the problem? Bureaucratic bellends. UEFA reckon there's some "conflict" with their precious rules. Mate, it's the beautiful game, not bleedin' politics!
Lyon got in trouble for finance muck-ups, relegated to Ligue 2, then won their appeal. They're in the Europa League now cos they finished 6th. But when Palace try to get in? Nah, not allowed. Clobbered down to the Conference instead. It's a disgrace!
Forest might take their Europa spot now. They grassed up Palace to UEFA in the first place, the snitches. Complained about multi-club ownership. I bet they're laughing their heads off.
Textor's fumin' too, and fair play to him. Told UEFA he's got no say at Palace, showed 'em the proof. But they ain't having none of it. Probably too busy counting their money to care.
This is the kind of thing that ruins footy for the real fans. The lads who turn up every week, rain or shine, to support their club. We don't give a monkey's about who owns what. Just let 'em play!
But nah, UEFA and their suits have to stick their beaks in, mess it up for everyone else. I've had a gutful of it. Crystal Palace are the real victims here, and it proper boils my p*ss.
