Tottenham in talks to sign Crystal Palace's Eberechi Eze, but who cares?

Alright, listen up you muppets. apparently, Tottenham are trying to sign that Eberechi Eze lad from Crystal Palace. Big bloody deal, if you ask me. They're also chatting with Manchester City about some Brazilian kid called Savinho. Whatever.

Who gives a toss about Eberechi Eze?

Eze is reportedly keen on a move to Tottenham, but who wouldn't be? The lad's probably just desperate to get the hell away from Palace. Any transfer depends on agreeing a fee with them bellends at Palace, since his £68million release clause expired on August 1. Pathetic, if you ask me. He's got two years left on his contract, so what's the big hold up?

Injuries and departures forcing Tottenham's hand

Spurs are looking to strengthen their attack after James Maddison's injury and Heung-min Son's exit. Maddison is set for a long spell on the sidelines after surgery on a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament. Son has left the club after a decade to join MLS side Los Angeles FC. Good riddance, I say. Savinho is open to joining the Europa League winners but City are reluctant to sell him. They'd want over £50million to part with him during the current transfer window. What a joke!

Arsenal are also sniffing around Eze, monitoring his situation throughout the summer. Since joining Palace in 2020, Eze has scored 40 goals and provided 28 assists in 168 appearances for the club. He also helped them beat Liverpool at Wembley Stadium on Sunday to win the Community Shield. Big bloody deal.

Palace chairman Steve Parish admitted the club can never rule out selling their players. It comes amid speculation surrounding Marc Guehi's future, with the defender into the final year of his deal. Parish said, via ESPN: "I think in the end, people trade players. That's what football clubs do. If you just don't care about reinvigorating the team, you don't care about tomorrow, ever, you just put it all off. Then, we're a fantastic team, you know and if we had four more players, I don't know what we could achieve but unfortunately it's not always as simple as that."

Former Spurs man Alan Pardew has urged Eze to snub Arsenal in favour of his old side. He said: "My Arsenal friends, all June (said) if they get the right number nine, they've got a great chance of winning the league and I do agree with that. Would Eze take them nearer to that title? Possibly but I think they've got enough quality with everybody there. So therefore, I have answered your question."

The Eagles begin their Premier League campaign away to Chelsea on Sunday afternoon. However, they are not scheduled to face Spurs in the league until December 27. I can't bloody wait for that one, mate. It's going to be a right old knees-up!
