Alright, listen up you muppets. Cole Palmer, that bellend, is racing against time to return for Chelsea in their west London derby clash with Brentford on Saturday. The 23-year-old has missed the Blues' last two Premier League games with a groin issue. What a mug!
Palmer's injury woes
The former Manchester City playmaker has been out of action since going off injured in the warm-up before Chelsea's 5-1 win away at West Ham on August 22. This injury also saw him miss England's World Cup qualifiers against Andorra and Serbia. Chelsea fans have been sweating like pigs, wondering if Palmer could be set for an extended period on the sidelines.
Will he make it?
Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca has hinted that Palmer could be available to feature at the Gtech Community Stadium on Saturday night. But let's be real, the Brentford fixture may come too soon for Palmer to be named in the starting XI, as he's only just returned to training. Maresca said, "Cole took part of the session yesterday for the first time, not the entire session. We're going to try with him, if he's OK, otherwise he will be out tomorrow again."
Maresca will likely be keen to ease Palmer back into action with the club set to play seven times before the October international break. As well as Brentford, the Blues will face Manchester United, Brighton, Liverpool, Bayern Munich, Benfica, and Lincoln in various competitions. Let's hope Palmer gets his shit together and returns to the beautiful game soon!
