Lamine Yamal has finally spoken out about the controversy surrounding his 18th birthday bash in July, and it's about bloody time!
The Barcelona starlet was accused of exploiting people with dwarfism and hiring women based on their measurements for his lavish party. What a mug!
Widespread condemnation
Reports emerged that people with Achondroplasia were hired as waiters at the party, leading to widespread disapproval from activist groups and even the General Director of Disability in the Spanish government. But Yamal kept his mouth shut until now, the bellend.
Spanish model Claudia Calvo also claimed that Yamal paid for 12 women with a 'certain breast size' to attend the 'Mafia' themed party. Sounds like a proper muppet move, innit?
Yamal finally decided to speak out two months later in a chat with Spanish outlet Resonancia de Corazon. "I wasn't mad, I found it funny," he said of the criticism. Well, aren't you just a riot, mate?
"They tried to smear it in many ways. A woman said I chose the girls one way or another, and it was all a lie. Then there was the thing about the waiters, who were working there." Oh, so it's all just a big misunderstanding, is it? Pull the other one, mate!
Calvo, a former Miss Teenager Spain and Miss Teenager Europe, revealed she was invited to attend the party but pulled out after receiving a list of demands. She claimed that women were offered up to 20,000 euros for their 24-hour availability on the day of the party. Sounds like a right royal knees-up, innit?

The Association of People with Achondroplasia and Other Skeletal Dysplasias with Dwarfism (ADEE) even threatened to take legal action over the hiring of the waiters. But Yamal don't care, he's too busy living it up with his Barcelona mates!
Despite the controversy, Yamal has started the season in fine form for Barcelona, with two goals from his opening three La Liga games. And Spain are also beneficiaries of his sparkling form, with three assists in the recent World Cup qualifying double header against Bulgaria and Turkey.
