Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca has come out with a shocking claim that the last 48 hours have been the 'worst' of his tenure. What a load of bollocks!
Maresca made this remark when he was asked about right-back Malo Gusto, who scored for the Blues in their 2-0 win over Everton at Stamford Bridge. But who gives a toss about that?
In his press conference, Maresca praised Gusto and Reece James, who played as midfielders at times against the Toffees. But big deal, they're getting paid a shitload of money to do their job, aren't they?
Maresca's 'worst 48 hours' rant is a load of nonsense
"Since I joined the club, the last 48 hours have been the worst 48 hours since I joined the club because many people didn't support us," Maresca said. Oh, boo hoo! Give me a break, you soft twat!
When asked to expand on his claim, Maresca said: "Worst 48 hours since I joined the club because people didn't support me and the team." Well, maybe if your team didn't play like a bunch of muppets, you'd get more support, you mug!
Maresca pointed out his swipe was not a dig at the club's fans. "I love the fans and we are very happy with the fans," Maresca said. Yeah, yeah, we've heard it all before. You're just trying to cover your arse now.
The win over Everton came at a much-needed time for Chelsea as they snapped a four-game winless streak. It also marked the Blues' first victory since November 25. But let's be honest, they were playing against a shit Everton team, so it's not like they achieved the impossible, is it?
Crucially, the result lifted Chelsea up to fourth in the table, two places higher than when they began the weekend. But who cares? They're still a bunch of overpaid prima donnas who couldn't give a toss about the beautiful game.
Maresca will look to make it back-to-back wins when they travel to League One side Cardiff City on Tuesday for their EFL Cup quarter-final tie. But I wouldn't hold my breath if I were him. They'll probably bottle it like they always do.
