Eddie Howe was fumin' after Newcastle were robbed of a blatterin' penalty in their 2-2 draw against Chelsea at St. James' Park. The beautiful game's gone to shite when the refs can't even get a stonewaller right.
Woltemade's brace not enough for the Toon
Nick Woltemade got the Magpies off to a flyer, makin' the Toon Army forget about his cock-up against Sunderland. But then that muppet Chalobah went and bodychecked Gordon in the box, and VAR was having none of it. What a load of bollocks!
Howe was rightly pissed off, sayin' it was a "clear penalty" and that Chalobah only had eyes for Gordon. Stonewall, mate.
Chelsea come back fightin'
Enzo Maresca's team came out swingin' in the second half, with that bellend Reece James scorin' a worldie of a free-kick. Then that turncoat Joao Pedro went and leveled things up after a fast break. The bloke chose Chelsea over Newcastle in the summer, what a liberty!
Howe ain't havin' none of it
After the game, Howe was still ragin', sayin' his team was "more than in it" in the second half, despite what the pundits reckon. He thought they were good in the second half, just not as good as the first.
He's got a point, mind. Newcastle have dropped 13 points from winnin' positions this season, more than any other team in the league. They need to sort their shite out, and fast, if they want to get anywhere near the top of the table.
But Howe reckons they're gettin' there, sayin' they're "trendin' in the right direction" and that he's happy with the "consistency of performance". Just need to finish teams off, lads!
