Martinelli out: Arsenal's injury crisis deepens!

Oh, for f*ck's sake! Gabriel Martinelli is out for at least a month with a f*cking hamstring injury. Just what the Gunners needed, another f*cking blow to their season. It's like a f*cking nightmare that never ends for Arsenal fans.

Martinelli's injury woes

The Brazilian winger got clobbered in the first half of Arsenal's 2-0 defeat against Newcastle in the Carabao Cup semi-final second leg. Now, he's set to be out of action for more than a month. That means Arsenal will be without the 23-year-old against Leicester City, West Ham and Nottingham Forest in the Premier League. He could also miss the games against Manchester United and Chelsea at the beginning of March, as well as their Champions League last 16 tie. Just f*cking brilliant, isn't it?

Injury crisis deepens

Martinelli's injury is just the latest in a long line of f*cking problems for Arsenal. Bukayo Saka has been nursing a hamstring problem since December, while Gabriel Jesus is a long-term absentee due to an ACL injury. Ben White and Takehiro Tomiyasu are also out of the picture. It's like the whole f*cking squad is falling apart at the seams.

Transfer window failures

The Gunners' latest injury will add further question marks regarding their lack of transfer activity in January. Mikel Arteta stressed that he needed help to compete on various fronts this season, but no new signings were made. Arsenal still have Leandro Trossard and Raheem Sterling available, but they have just six goals between them this season. It's just not good enough, is it?

Hope for the future?

Arteta will be hoping that Martinelli will be back in time for the run-in as they eye success in both the Premier League and Champions League. Their FA Cup and Carabao Cup exits could prove to be blessings in disguise as their fixture schedule won't be as busy. However, they remain six points behind Premier League leaders Liverpool, who will extend the gap to nine if they win their game in hand. Arsenal also finished in the top eight of the Champions League table and will face one of AC Milan, PSV Eindhoven, Feyenoord or Juventus in the last 16. It's not going to be easy, that's for sure.
