Cole Palmer's gonna smash Champions League footy next season, with or without Chelsea!

Chelsea have been warned that Cole Palmer will sod off to a Champions League club if they don't get their act together. The Blues have been absolute shite recently, winning just two of their last nine Premier League games. The 3-0 spanking by Brighton was their worst defeat of the season – and the first time in four years they couldn't even manage a single shot on target in the top-flight.

Despite Chelsea being toss, Palmer has still managed to bag 14 goals and six assists in the Premier League this season. Last campaign he ended with 22 goals and 11 assists, not far behind that greedy Norwegian bellend Erling Haaland for most of the season. Since joining Chelsea, the former Man City academy star has become one of the world's most valuable assets, tied down until 2033 on one of football's longest contracts.

But footy broadcaster and gobshite Rory Jennings reckons Palmer will be itching to play in the Champions League – with Chelsea currently clinging onto fourth place. Hinting at a transfer that would send shockwaves through west London, Jennings said: "A player of Cole Palmer's quality will be itching to play in the Champions League and if Chelsea aren't in it… next season, Cole Palmer plays Champions League football. Whether that's with Chelsea or not will depend on us qualifying, but Cole Palmer will be playing Champions League football."

Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca recently spouted some nonsense about dominating English football in the next five to ten years and urged patience with his young squad. But Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher has warned that top players won't hang around for some distant promise of success.

Watching Palmer looking fed up on Friday night, Carragher said: "The idea that this project is going to take two or three years, the problem is that the best players won't wait for that. Cole Palmer is one of the best players in the Premier League. He's good enough to be competing for the biggest honours in the Premier League and Champions League. If they don't get Champions League, it will be a disaster."
