Troy Deeney, that muppet, has been blabbering on about his "iconic" Championship play-off goal that had him swapping shirts with some Real Madrid bellend, Gonzalo Higuain.
Deeney's Delusions of Grandeur
The bloke just can't stop talking about his "famous" moment for Watford in their 2013 semi-final against Leicester City. Apparently, his half-volley at the end of a counter-attack after some mug missed a penalty in stoppage time is the most dramatic thing to ever happen in English football. Give me a break!
Higuain's Hilarious Obsession
Even Higuain, who banged in 121 goals for Madrid, was apparently so impressed with Deeney's "moment" that he just had to meet the guy. Deeney, being the egoistic thug he is, was over the moon about it and even got the Argentine's shirt. I bet Higuain just threw Deeney's in the bin or used it to wash his car.
Deeney's Delusional Chat with Higuain
Higuain, for some reason, told Deeney that he watched that goal over and over on YouTube. I mean, who does that? Deeney, of course, felt like a "bit of an imposter" talking to a player who actually achieved something in his career. But that didn't stop him from keeping Higuain's shirt in his office like some kind of trophy.
Deeney's Dull Departure from Watford
After helping Watford get promoted to the Premier League in 2015 and 2021, Deeney decided to leave and join Birmingham City, his boyhood club. I'm sure they were thrilled to have such a "legend" join their ranks.
Deeney's Disingenuous Interest in the Play-Offs
Now, Deeney will be keeping a close eye on this season's Championship play-off final. Sheffield United will face Sunderland, who scored a dramatic late winner against Coventry City. I'm sure Deeney will be watching, dreaming of his "glory days" and hoping someone will remember his "iconic" goal.
