Crystal Palace's Jean-Philippe Mateta was bloody lucky not to get sent off in their 0-0 borefest with Chelsea, according to Arsenal legend Perry Groves.
Groves slams Mateta's luck
The game was a load of shit, with Eberechi Eze having a cracking free-kick ruled out by that muppet referee. He reckoned Marc Guehi was too close to the Chelsea wall, what a joke.
Then Palace were denied a stonewall pen when that bellend Robert Sanchez punched Guehi in the head. Groves thought it could've gone either way, but he's talking out his arse.
But the real controversy came when Mateta, who should've already been sent off for clattering Josh Acheampong, stamped on Moises Caicedo and didn't get a second yellow. What a farce.
Eze's emotional farewell
Eze was the only Palace player who looked like he gave a toss, and he's probably off to Spurs soon. Typical. He even said goodbye to the fans after the final whistle, so that's him done at Selhurst Park.
Palace are apparently after Leicester's Bilal El Khannouss to replace him. £19million for a player who got relegated last season? Good luck with that, lads.
All in all, it was a shit game with shit refereeing decisions and shit performances. Just another day in the beautiful game, eh?
