Adam Wharton's Champions League creds questioned - footy fans not having it!

Troy Deeney reckons Crystal Palace midfielder Adam Wharton ain't ready for the Champions League just yet, mate.

Wharton's Champions League Ambitions

That bloody Palace co-owner Steve Parish has been chatting shit about Wharton playing in the Champions League. Bellend.

Deeney, the Watford legend, ain't convinced though. He reckons Wharton needs to sort out his fitness and availability before he can even think about playing on the biggest stage in Europe, the muppet.

And what about the fucking price tag? £60 million to £80 million for Wharton? Deeney expects more for that kind of dosh, mate. Someone who can break away from players, not just a neat and tidy footballer.

Is Wharton Worth the Money?

Deeney ain't sure if Wharton's got what it takes to put a team like Manchester United in the Champions League places. He's a good player, but is he really worth that much, the mug?

But Deeney does think Wharton should've been in the England squad for the October international break. Better than some of the other twats that got picked, like Jordan Henderson and Ruben Loftus-Cheek.

Wharton's been a vital player for Palace and one of the best midfielders in the Premier League. But Tuchel didn't pick him for England, the bastard. Said he wanted to stick with the same squad. Load of bollocks.

Wharton's England Chances

Deeney thinks Wharton should be ahead of Henderson in the England pecking order. He's frustrated, and rightly so. Wharton wants his time in the spotlight, not watching Henderson have his.

Wharton's only played for England once, coming off the bench in a friendly against Bosnia and Herzegovina. But he made the cut for Euro 2024, even though he didn't play a single bloody minute as England lost to Spain in the final.

So, is Wharton ready for the Champions League? Deeney doesn't think so. But he's got potential, and he's definitely better than some of the muppets in the England squad. Time will tell if he can make it to the top, the lad.
