Alright, listen up you muppets! Luton Town are set to appoint some bloke called Matt Bloomfield as their new gaffer, poaching him from Wycombe Wanderers. The Hatters are triggering his £100,000 release clause after having a chinwag with the 40-year-old over the weekend. What a load of bollocks!

This Bloomfield geezer is taking over from Rob Edwards, who got the boot last week 'cause Luton are shitting themselves about getting relegated from the Championship. They're 20th in the table, just two bloody points above the drop zone, despite playing in the Prem last season. Fucking hell!
Assistants set to leave
It looks like Paul Trollope and Richie Kyle, Edwards' right-hand men, are getting the chop too. Bloody good riddance, I say! Bloomfield's arriving at Kenilworth Road after playing 557 times for Wycombe before taking the reins in February 2023. Big fucking deal!
Wycombe's loss, Luton's gain
Wycombe are currently level on points with Wrexham in League One, but only ahead on goal difference. Bloomfield was part of the side that got promoted to the Championship in 2020, but they bottled it and got relegated the next season. He retired in February 2022, had a brief stint at Colchester United, then went crawling back to Wycombe when Gareth Ainsworth fucked off to QPR. Now, he's leaving them in the lurch to join Luton. What a snake!
Luton's woes continue
Luton have been absolute shite lately, losing six of their last seven games, including a 2-0 FA Cup defeat to Nottingham Forest. They've been beaten 15 times in the Championship this season, and their last win was against Derby County on December 20.
