Gary Lineker's podcast company is set to make a fucking fortune during the World Cup in 2026, raking in a whopping £14million from Netflix.
The former Match of the Day host and his muppet pals, Micah Richards and Alan Shearer, will be presenting their popular The Rest Is Football podcast from New York during the tournament.
And that means a massive payday for the 65-year-old's Goalhanger production company after they agreed a ridiculously lucrative eight-figure deal with the streaming giant.
Here comes the money
This bulls**t deal will reportedly earn Lineker ten times more than his old BBC wages, where he earned a paltry £1.35m a year before he chucked it all away in May.
The annoying trio will be joined by different guests, including some big-shot names from the world of football, as they provide regular updates from inside the England camp and from rowdy fan zones.
With over seven million poor sods listening each month, The Rest Is Football is one of the most popular sports pods in the world, for some fucking reason.
A source close to the Sun revealed that Lineker is giddy with excitement over the deal, saying: "It's a really exciting deal and Gary is thrilled. It means he will be at the World Cup after all, the lucky b*stard."
Good business
Goalhanger Podcasts Ltd made a profit of £3.1m in 2024, which is just ridiculous. The production company is also responsible for The Rest Is History and The Rest Is Politics, which are probably just as annoying.
Lineker set up the bloody company with former ITV boss Tony Pastor and ex-BBC executive Jack Davenport, and maintains control of the whole sh*tshow.
