What a load of bollocks that game was, I tell you what. Haaland got his goal, but what's the point when you're getting hammered 5-1 by the bloody Gunners?
Haaland's milestone goal
Yeah, alright, Haaland scored his 250th club career goal. Big whoop. He's still a mile off catching up to the likes of Messi, Ronaldo and Lewandowski. And let's be honest, he's never gonna win the Champions League with this City side, is he?
The game itself
Arsenal absolutely battered City, it was embarrassing. Odegaard scored after about two minutes and then Haaland equalised, but it didn't matter because Partey put the Gunners back in front a minute later. And then some kid called Lewis-Skelly made it 3-1. I mean, who even is he? Probably never be heard of again.
Havertz and Nwaneri put the final nails in City's coffin. 15 points behind Liverpool now, are City. Title hopes? Absolutely taking liberties.
Haaland's goal in perspective
Sure, Haaland reached 250 club goals in fewer games than anyone else. He's on 313, ahead of Messi on 327 and Mbappe on 332. But so what? It's not like he's ever gonna win a World Cup, is it? And that's what really counts in the beautiful game. Not some meaningless club goal record.
At the end of the day, Haaland can score all the goals he wants, but if City keep defending like they're a bunch of muppets, he's never gonna win another Premier League title. And that's the harsh reality of it.
