Fowler slams Neville's Class of 92 claims as "disrespectful"

Robbie Fowler has bitten back at Gary Neville's daft suggestion that his time at Liverpool somehow hindered his goal-scoring prowess for the England national team. What a load of bollocks!

Fowler's Liverpool Legacy

Fowler, a true Reds legend, bagged 183 goals in 369 appearances across two stints with the club. He's one of the most lethal forwards to ever grace the hallowed Anfield turf. But apparently, according to Neville, this wasn't good enough for England.

Neville's Nonsense

On The Overlap last year, Neville spouted some absolute drivel, implying Fowler could've been England's greatest goalscorer if he hadn't come through the Liverpool ranks. What utter nonsense! Neville even hinted that Fowler would've been better off with Manchester United's 'Class of '92'. Get your head out of your arse, Gary!

Liverpool vs Manchester United

Despite United's dominance in the 90s, Fowler pointed out that Liverpool weren't far behind. In '96, the Reds were on fire and possibly even better than United. The only difference was United's consistency against weaker teams, something Liverpool struggled with.

The Spice Boys

Fowler also addressed the 'Spice Boys' label, a derogatory term coined in the late 90s. He set the record straight, stating it was unfair to single out Liverpool players for their off-pitch antics when United players were at it too. After all, the Liverpool lads would often bump into United players on their nights out.

Fowler's rebuttal exposes Neville's claim for what it is - a load of disrespectful claptrap. Fowler is a legend, regardless of what some bitter ex-United player thinks. So Neville should wind his neck in and give credit where it's due - Fowler's Liverpool tenure was nothing short of sensational.
